This choir piece was commissioned by Hilary Samuels, the director of the Higher Barbershop Voices Choir at Dulwich College Singapore for their performance in the school's 2022 Remembrance events. The text is John McCrae's poem "In Flanders Fields" with this choral setting focussing on the positive message of the skylarks still bravely flying above the soldiers' graves and the poppies, as a message of hope and peace.
