Biography

Jennifer Moss is a children’s entertainer with many years of experience, on stage and screen. Originally a highly qualified and experienced classical artist, Jennifer decided to share her talents with a younger audience. She became a popular “ABC for Kids” artist, appearing in children’s albums, ABC TV, and touring live throughout Australia.

After returning to New Zealand, her popular live shows Jennifer’s Garden and Jennifer’s House, quickly drew a wide following. Her albums of the same name won 'Tuis' for ‘Best Children’s’ in the NZ Music Awards for two consecutive years.

Jennifer is the creator of the immensely successful and popular Baby Proms concerts. These concerts for preschoolers have enabled thousands of young children to have a positive first orchestral experience. Jennifer has delighted her young audiences as presenter of Baby Proms with the Auckland Philharmonia and the Vector Wellington Orchestra over the last ten years. She has also presented a special version of Baby Proms on TV 3.

Her warmth and endearing manner with children has lead to a wide following throughout the North Island. Jennifer has recently enjoyed introducing primary school children to Tane and the Kiwi, a work she collaborated on with composer Thomas Goss. This piece is a narrative orchestral work, incorporating vital messages about our heritage and conservation.
Jennifer and her young family reside in Palmerston North, where she is a popular and successful children’s entertainer, composer, primary school teacher and writer.
